Privacy Policy

This page is maintained by Lean Engineering to describe how BidScrub ("the Service") handles your information. It is informational and is not a certification or legal advice.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: your email address and authentication credentials.
• Workspace data: the websites you choose to track, alerts generated for you, documents you upload to the extractor, and meeting minutes you summarize.
• Notification preferences: the email address where you receive the daily digest and whether digests are enabled.
• Operational logs: minimal request and error logs used to keep the Service running.

2. How we use your information

• To provide monitoring, alerts, and document extraction features you request.
• To send the daily digest of new alerts to the address you configured.
• To secure your account, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.

3. Subprocessors

BidScrub relies on a small set of trusted vendors to operate. These currently include cloud hosting and database infrastructure, an email delivery provider for the digest, and AI model providers used by the bid extractor and meeting-minutes summarization. Documents you submit to the extractor are transmitted to the AI provider only for the purpose of generating the requested extraction.

4. Data retention and deletion

Tracked websites and alerts remain in your workspace until you remove them. You can delete your account from the Settings page; this permanently removes your profile, tracked websites, and alerts and removes your sign-in credentials from the authentication system.

5. Security

Access to your data is restricted to your authenticated session through row-level security policies in our database. Passwords are checked against the Have I Been Pwned database at signup and password change to help prevent reuse of compromised credentials.

6. Cookies

We use only the cookies and local storage required to keep you signed in. We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.

7. Your choices

• You can change your notification email or disable the digest from the Settings page.
• You can sign out at any time from the sidebar.
• You can permanently delete your account from the Settings page.

8. Children

The Service is intended for use by construction industry professionals and is not directed to children under 16.

9. Changes

Material changes to this policy will be communicated through the Service or by email to your notification address.
